The research and development team at Ciemme has combined its years of experience in traditional teak with today’s advanced technology to create GREEN TEAK Superfineteak Decking.

Concerned about the sustainability of the forests and aware of their clients’ desire for a continuous supply of teak of the highest possible quality, the R&D team came up with a solution that made the greatest use of the best timber from each teak tree felled. 

Traditionally, demand for teak planks hand-picked for their colour, grain and strength has led to a high rejection rate, as only the best full planks from each tree can be used.

The solution, developed, tested and released to market in early 2009, is a patented teak deck product called GREEN TEAK Superfineteak Decking
